Here are a few things that you might want to think about to get you started on your new garden design

  • Have a discussion and involve your partner and family to discuss ideas about the new garden, find out likes, dislikes, and what you want to use the garden for.
  • Use Pinterest, see our explanatory video on this page or simply link to our mood boards on Pinterest to get you started. Creating your own mood boards will move your discussion along and give our designer lots of input.
  • Try and decide on a budget. Bear in mind that a new garden is an investment on a par with a new kitchen or an extension to your house. You will have two skilled craftsman working on your garden for an average of around 4 weeks. Then add the cost of materials and overheads and you have a rough idea.
  • Don’t worry if you can’t complete all this homework, our designer has bagfuls of checklists to keep the process on track.
  • Please contact us at any stage and we will be happy to help.

Pinterest is a library containing thousands of high quality images of everything to do with gardens, and other things besides. You can use it to create ‘mood boards’ which are your own collections of images that reflect your likes and preferences.
